Do you know how many people surf the web using handheld devices (smartphones or tablets)? Is your website responsive?
Most normal websites are viewable on hand-held devices like tables and smart phones but they are squashed down to fit on the screen, and often the reader has to zoom out and then push the screen around to read the text.
The term “responsive design” means the text always stays large, readable and wraps to fit the screen of the device it is being viewed in. Other elements that are not as important (the fancy graphic interface or content images) are either scaled down, modified or done away with so hand-held device users can easily get to what is important: your wording and information.
Many people use their tables or smart phones to look up information on the go. Is your website easily used and readable on a smaller device?
